Looking for wedding photographers, Toronto

Wedding Webmaster, Sr. asked:

Finding a good wedding photographer and videographer is one of the most important task for your wedding.  You must have found yourself criticizing the quality of wedding photos and videos of your friends but when it comes to you, you can’t have anyone being critical about your wedding album.  Toronto wedding photographers are famous in the whole of Ontario and even Canada.  People from different parts of the country hire professional photographers from here.  Hence, you need not think about searching anywhere for photographers out of Toronto.  In fact, professionals’ and artists from other parts of the country migrate to this colorful city in search of newer and better demands.  Hence, you would find in here all the talent you would ever want.

As mentioned above, Toronto is a place of abundance and you would find unlimited choices in all kinds of wedding services.  Now the issue that needs some sorting is how to choose the best service among the better ones.  Firstly, take time to do some research.  Wedding photography is a work art and fashion.  The way a wedding album is complied keeps on changing and you better so some research into the current trends in this field.  Once you know what style is best suited for your wedding album, skim through the portfolio of some of the well known Toronto wedding photographers.  Get a preview of their working style and rates.  Yes, rates form yet another important criterion for making your final choice.  Unless you do not care about your wedding budget, do not forget to compare the photographers in terms of their quotes.

Most of the Toronto wedding photographers take up the video services too.  They usually offer better rates when you combine these two services.  And most of the wedding planners assign both the photography and videography jobs to a single team.  Well, even though this sounds the most obvious and most convenient option, it might not be the best option always.  Go for specialization if you need quality at any cost.  Professional photographers are usually only concerned with photography.  They do not try to expand their talents into videography just for the sake of money.

Give Great Wedding Gifts Without Spending a Fortune

Lisa Parker asked:

A wedding is an expensive celebration and the bride and groom may not have a lot of money to spend on gifts for the wedding party. Brides and grooms often forget to budget for wedding party gifts, which can be a problem. You want to show your appreciation, but as your wedding date draws closer, you may not have enough money for wedding party gifts. In today’s economy, saving money is important, and a wedding can make that difficult.

Some people think that those in their wedding party deserve extravagant gifts, and in most likelihood, they probably do deserve it for supporting you and your significant other on your wedding day. How do you give a great gift without spending a fortune? Here are some tips to finding that perfectly priced present for the people in your wedding party:

Tip #1: Buy in bulk – Although it is nice to get personalized gifts, in many cases, it is cheaper to purchase items in bulk. If you can buy the same thing for the bridesmaids and groomsmen, you might be able to save even more money. If you do not purchase the same gifts for everyone, you can at least save money by ordering all of the items from the same wedding company. Pick up gift bags or wrapping paper from that company as well for even more savings!

Tip #2: Purchase items that can be engraved for free – Engraving items with initials, names, or even dates can be really special for your wedding party. However, engraving can be a bit pricey. If you order online, though, many companies offer items that can be engraved free of charge. You can choose cufflinks, glass boxes, jewelry, mugs, money clips, and more. Engraving an item makes it more special, so you can save money while providing a well thought out gift personalized for those in your wedding party. Professionally engraved items do not have to be expensive.

Tip #3: Consider gift cards – While it may seem like the easy way out, gift cards can be an excellent gift choice. A gift card may seem like a better gift than an item costing the same price. The gift cards can be specific to the people in your wedding party, to a general website or brick and mortar store that everyone likes, or to something special (like a spa). Gift cards are easy and, comparatively, inexpensive. Some restaurants and other stores even give you a discount if you spend above a certain amount on your gift cards!

Tip #4: Order you gifts early – You can often purchase items for less money if you shop online. Regardless of whether you order online or choose a brick and mortar store, if you have to pay for rush shipping, you may end of spending a lot of money in order to have the item shipped in time for the wedding. By ordering items well in advance, you are able to choose the cheapest shipping option available and this provides you with more choices such as personalization. Generally, engraved, are unable to be ordered on short notice.

Tip #5: Keep your wedding party small – No matter what you order, you can save money by ordering fewer numbers. Many people have large wedding parties in an attempt to include all of their friends, but keep in mind that a bigger wedding party means more money, not just in gifts, but in other aspects of the wedding as well. The rehearsal dinner, any parts of the outfits you are paying for, the photography, and so forth can become more expensive with a large wedding party. When the wedding party consists of between two and six people (one to three bridesmaids and one to three groomsmen) you can save a lot of money. This is your wedding, and although some friends might be hurt at first, they should get over it. That sounds harsh, but in reality, it just makes sense to stay within your budget.

Remember, it really is the thought that counts. If you are having a small, low-budget wedding, your wedding party should understand when they do not receive diamond jewelry as a wedding party gift. If you are running low on money, do not put yourself in financial trouble just to buy gifts. If you are artistic or crafty, consider making the gifts, and if you are not, do not be afraid to choose something in your budget. Be gracious and thankful.

There are many options available when choosing a budget wedding party gift. Many gift suggestions include personalized gifts or gift certificates. A personalized gift would be more expensive than the same gift without your guests name engraved. Depending on your budget and the size of your wedding party, there are many great gift options available a price you can afford.

Low Budget Wedding Reception Ideas

Betsy Meeh asked:

One of the main events in a wedding is the reception; however, with couples having to incur practically every expense for their wedding, having a lavish reception can be difficult. Couples can still accomplish having a wonderful wedding by being creative, using the resources around them and not being afraid to be different.

The first thing you need for your reception is a place to gather with all your guests. Check with your church parish, many parishes have a decently sized placed that can be used as a reception hall. This option will be a lot cheaper.

To decorate the hall for your wedding reception, have some of your relatives or friends create the decorations. You’ll be amazed at how creative and talented people are. Your loved ones won’t charge you what a professional will.

If your wedding is not a huge affair, consider having your wedding reception in the backyard of a family member or acquaintance. To economize even further, borrow chairs and tables from family and friends.

Since the biggest cost at a wedding is the food, consider a potluck. As you send out your invitations make sure to include a special note giving your guests the option of bringing a present or a dish. You’ll be surprised at the amazing response you’ll get. Request a reply so you can monitor how much food you’ll be getting.

Another way to keep your expenses low is by having someone you know make all the food. This will be less costly than a professional caterer. Ask your bridesmaids and groomsmen to help you serve the food. Relatives and friends are always eager to help during these events.

Facing a big expense and being in a tight budget can be very discouraging for a couple; however, by being savvy and free spirited a couple can have a wonderful wedding. Hosting their wedding in a backyard, at the parish hall or even at a nice park should be seriously considered by a couple on a budget. And having family and friends help with decorations and even the food should be an option as well. With some creativity and hard work, a couple can have a wonderful reception on a budget.

Budget Wedding Planner

Betsy Meeh asked:

You have always dreamed about having the perfect wedding surrounded by all your family and friends with lots of flowers, beautiful music and an exceptional reception. Suddenly, you realize that your dream wedding can be very costly. With the right planning your ideal wedding can be achieved if you follow some guidelines.

Once you have set a date for your wedding, the next thing to do is to come up with a budget wedding planner to help you stay focused and that details most of the things required for your wedding. Your planner should include things as a budget, number of guests, location, time of day, theme, colors, formality, etc…

When you have a plan in place then it’s time to move on with more specific details.

1. Plan everything as far ahead as possible. Many times when planning something months ahead in advanced you are able to get better deals with caterers, reception halls, musicians, etc…

2. Compare prices with several businesses that provide the services you need for your event. Use your bargaining skills and see who can give you the cheapest deal.

3. Bigger is not necessarily better. Don’t think that a bigger wedding is better than a small one. A big wedding is going to cost more and it will require a bigger place, more food, more drinks, more wedding favors, etc… therefore, more money.

4. A small wedding can be more modest yet more warm and cozy with only your closest family members and friends. It will also be less expensive because it will require a smaller place, less food, drinks, etc…

5. Keep track of everything you spend on. Small things can add up to large amounts; therefore, causing for you to go over budget.

6. Accept any help from family and friends. A little help here and there will make a big difference on your budget in the long run.

7. Don’t fall under pressure to do things you had not planned to do or have at your wedding. Accept any given suggestions and only do those that fit your budget.

If you follow your budget wedding planner, it’s very likely that your spending won’t go over budget. Remember, keep track of every single expense you make, only invite close family and friends, bargain with vendors and accept any help from those close to you. May your wedding day turn out to be what you always dreamed about and your happiest day ever.

Luxury Wedding Favors

Mae Andrea asked:

Whilst the crisis in the global economy has forced many couples to re-work their wedding budget & cut costs, for some couples money isn’t an issue & when it comes to their wedding favors they are looking to give their guests the best luxury wedding favors around.

These kinds of favors will usually cost you more than $10 a piece. If you have a big budget then price may not be an issue, otherwise those of you that are having a small or intimate wedding may like to choose wedding favor in this

price band.

For special weddings there is wide choice of luxury wedding favors available. Here are some ideas to choose from.

What Kind of Luxury Favors Can I Give my Guests?

The key to successful wedding favors it to make them a personal statement of yourselves & coordinate them to your wedding theme or style. A good place to start is with favors that encapsulate a hobby or passion you both share. For instance, if you enjoy fine wine then why not give your guests boxed bottles of vintage wine in either half or full size bottles. If you are sharing your favors between couples you could include two wine glasses as well. Another suggestion along these lines is vintage whiskey, champagne or some other spirit.

Chocolates are a popular choice for wedding favors whatever the budget. But why not give your guests boxes of gourmet chocolates made from the finest Belgian chocolate?

Goody bags are becoming a hot trend for big budget weddings. Put together a bag of treats which run along a certain theme &/or put together his & hers goody bags. For example, you might give her a spa themed bag, filled with spa beauty products & accessories, for him something with a sports theme, filled with sporting accessories, memorabilia & other sporting related items.

The idea is to share with your guests wedding favors based around something that you both enjoy & which you know your guests will appreciate.

Tips and Tricks

Luxury wedding favors do work best for small weddings, where the budget isn’t stretched & where the bride & groom are more likely to be close to all the guests. Whilst is it usual for your wedding favors to be a token of thanks for sharing the wedding day, luxury favors give out a more personal message of love & thanks.

Whilst you should weigh up your options & budget constraints with luxury wedding favors there is no doubt you guests will be delighted with your offerings & are more likely to treat them as treasured keepsakes unlike a traditional gift of almonds or personalized keyrings!

Lastly, the best thing about choosing luxury wedding favors for your guests, is trying them out before you make your final choices!

Save Money When Buying Wedding Invitations

Lisa Parker asked:

It seems that everyone is on a budget these days. For this reason, purchases are more heavily scrutinized, and decisions are more thought out. While planning a wedding on a budget can be delicate process, an incredible event can still be orchestrated even while the purse strings are held tightly. There are opportunities for saving money in many areas of a wedding, from the wedding invitations to the thank you cards.

Deciding on wedding invitations is one of the first choices the bride and groom will make. This is a great time to investigate all styles, colors and options available in order to find the best invitations, at the best price as well.

Of course, the happy couple does not want their wedding invitations to look like budget wedding invitations. Fortunately, there are so many wedding invitation options out there that you can find beautiful wedding invitations that do not put a major dent in your wedding budget. Here are just some of the ways that you can save money when buying wedding invitations.

Shop for wedding invitations online

Shopping online gives you a huge marketplace to shop in. You are not confined to the prices that your local printers might charge. Instead, you get to pick from a wide selection of wedding invitation vendors. Be sure to compare prices, delivery dates and quality. A lot of the wedding invitations styles you will find on one site are similar if not identical to wedding invitations that you will find at other wedding web sites. If you keep a watchful eye when comparing price, quality and style, you should have no problem finding invitations you will be excited to send out.

Decide what wedding stationery you need before you order

Do you really need every single piece of stationery that’s offered just because it coordinates with your wedding invitations? Be selective and only order the pieces that you really need. Wedding invitations and envelopes are a must, of course, but can you wait on thank you cards until after the wedding? Also, eliminating save the date cards as well as menu cards are another way to cut costs. Pick and choose only what you need, but be sure to order everything at once so you can save money on shipping costs.

Consider what parts you can do yourself

Beribboned invitations are among the most stylish options available to today’s bride. You can save about 5% off the cost of your invitations by buying double-faced satin ribbon and adding ribbon embellishments to your invitations before you slip them into the envelope.

The ultimate in DIY wedding invitations, of course, is to print your own invitations at home. With a purchased wedding invitation kit, you can even duplicate complicated and beautiful wedding overlay photo invitations that are usually only available through the highest priced printers.

Choose simple themed wedding invitations with one color printing

The more colors that are involved in the printing process, the more the invitation will cost. To keep costs low, choose a wedding invitation style that is printed in one color only. There are some very elegant invitations with silhouette designs printed in one color that can be further embellished if your heart desires.

Order completely coordinated wedding “sets”

You can find beautiful sets of invitations that are designed to coordinate with your entire wedding party. The advantage to choosing wedding invitations at a site that offers everything you need for your wedding is that the colors available for your invitations will be available throughout the full range of their invitation supplies. That means that you can choose a simple invitation and then embellish it with envelope foil inserts, ribbons and insert cards that match each other perfectly.

It also means that you can choose the invitations that you love, and then choose other wedding stationery that coordinates in color, but is from a less expensive line. Mixing and matching that way lets you put your money into the pieces that are more important to you and save on pieces that will coordinate without matching precisely. Your wedding will be unique and beautiful, and within your budget.

Choose a basic invitation and embellish to your heart’s content

The most basic invitations can easily be the most elegant. Choose a simple, one panel flat invitation and then customize it to make it your own. Choose ink color that coordinates with envelope liners, add a vellum wrap and tied it with a matching ribbon. Buy it a la carte and assemble it yourself to save big money on invitations that look like the most expensive ones in the store.

Your wedding invitations are the first impression that your guests will have of your wedding, and your thank you cards are their lasting memory. Choose well, and feel free to mix and match within the range of invitations to find your own perfect style. Your wedding invitations will not only make a lasting impression, they will fit right into your budget and reflect your own unique style for less.

Planning a wedding on a budget, by far is the easiest things, if you have some presence of mind and responsibility towards your well earned money. Wedding is certain an expensive event, even like buying your home. If you do not plan properly, you are likely to confront a lifetime disaster after wedding, and things can become sour. Therefore realize this budget planning is an important exercise, as important as choosing your bride. You can access more free wedding planning tips for free at http://www.weddingbudgetingtips.com.

Consider the following seven wedding budgeting tips, before you plan out your wedding.

Make sure you have a set budget. Include in this budget, who is going to meet which expenses. Take into account the money at your disposal from your family, earmarked for the wedding, as well as the amount you can spend. This will be your estimate for the budget, which you should stick to. Paying by credit card is a better option, for your services and purchases. This will protect you from any possible closure of the company before your goods are delivered, as credit cards do have policies to ensure you get your money back. First important things should be in place, remember your wedding is a special day for you. There are a number of professional service providers you have to hire, like a videographer, photographer, or a DJ, from whom you should get written estimates. Make sure the bills you receive are according to the estimates, and don’t go beyond. With a lot of facilities like special wedding loans, easy swiping of credit cards, you can easily pile up lots of debts for your wedding. This is bad way to start a married life. Therefore stick to money you have on hand, and cut down on things not needed, to avoid a wedding debt. Planning a wedding budget requires a lot of forethought. If you don’t know how to execute this, then go to http://www.weddingbudgetingtips.com and learn more. Each guest that attends your wedding means expenses to you – his food, drinks, favors, cutlery etc. So, have the guest list sized up. This is a great way to save money. Try to pay for the wedding yourself, though your parents or family people can extend a helping hand. When you are paying for your wedding you can have the authority to say no for some things.

Paying for the wedding on your own insures, despite offers from family members that you are in control and you can say no to unwanted advice as well.
