The True Meaning Behind Your Wedding Planning

TM Lung asked:

You have to make tons of decisions during your wedding planning. You will also need to stand all the pressures especially from your family. They may have a lot of ideas on your wedding which are conflicting with your thoughts. You should try to understand the reason behind all these preparation works.

Planning for a wedding is as harsh as you are taking a second job. This is very true that wedding planning can sometimes be more challenging than what you encounter in your work in the office. However, some brides may have a misconception that the big day is the most important day in their lives. They may think that an imperfect wedding can make their marriage imperfect.

There is no doubt that the wedding day is very important for a couple. However, you should also bear in mind that the life after your marriage is even more important. It is very important for brides and grooms to realize this fact. And as a result of this fact, it may not be a good idea for you to make yourself in debt because of your dream wedding. Even if you are planning to seek for a wedding loan, you should estimate with care on your ability to repay. There is nothing wrong with seeking for loans but it will certainly be wrong if you are seeking the loans without considering your ability to repay.

In fact, a good planning can certainly help you to achieve your dream wedding within your budget. You can make your wedding a unique one even if you have limited budget. You have to plan and make all the stuffs with your heart. You guests should be able to feel it if you are really planning your wedding with your heart.

Besides, you should discuss with your family about your wedding planning so that there will not be any misunderstanding between you and your family. Because it is your wedding, your family should be more than happy to support your. You do not need to be shy to ask for help when you need, both financially and psychologically. In fact, working out the wedding together with your family can help to reinforce the relationship among all the family members, since all the members are having the same target.

You have to always bear in mind that your big day is indeed the first day of your marriage. It is only a beginning. When you are planning for your wedding, you are in fact planning for the beginning of your new life after marriage. No matter your wedding is perfect or not, it is a blessing. It is blessing your new life. You should try to appreciate every little detail in your wedding. In that way you will not lose your temper because of any imperfect item in your wedding. You big day is of course very important. However, a good relationship with your spouse is even more important. You wedding is just the first day you start to learn to live with your spouse.

Online Wedding Planning

Mae Andrea asked:

The internet has help to revolutionize the way in which couples can carry out their wedding planning. From personal websites, to receiving your RSVP’s online, the World Wide Web has helped many couples breeze through the minefield of wedding planning with a range of virtual solutions to help them stay organized. So what planning tools are available? Here are a few suggestions which you may want to research further.

Wedding Directory Sites

These infinitely useful sites will include a variety of features including articles on wedding planning, honeymoons & anything else wedding related. As the name implies they will also carry a directory of wedding services, vendors & professionals for you to search through. The larger directory sites will cover a whole nation, whilst you may also find regional sites which are often linked to a paper based directory which you can purchase from local retailers. The national sites will include adverts & features from the major retailers such as renowned jewelers, wedding dress designers & travel companies. They will also include regional listings, but may not be as in depth as the smaller regional sites.

My tip is to use a combination of both so that you get the best of both worlds. These sites can provide you with an infinite number of tips & ideas to help you with your wedding planning.

Personalized Wedding Websites

This is a customized website set up by yourselves to not only help your wedding planning, but to also keep guests, members of the wedding party & vendors informed of how your planning is progressing.

There are many sites offering wedding website services, some will charge you a monthly fee, some may charge an outright fee & others may offer a variety of packages, including a free website service. The style of site you choose will depend on how many features you you’re your site to have. They can come fully loaded with online RSVP’s, photo galleries, blog pages & more. They are often set in such as way as anyone can build one in an evening & it will come with it’s own domain name (web address) which can be chosen by you.

You will need to set aside some time each day or at least twice a week to update the site. You will probably find some over eager guests logging in each day just to see what you’ve been up to & if there is anything new to see!

Online Wedding Planning Tools

There are many websites that can offer you a variety of wedding planning tools, these include an online RSVP service – where guests can email you back their reply to your wedding invitation; help with producing your thank you notes, budget planning tools, seating charts, invitation trackers & event management.

All of these tools will help keep your wedding planning in an organized state & without the risk of loosing important bits of paper, phone numbers, dates & prices.

Gift Registries

You can even set up your gift registries online. Many of the large high street stores & those that are solely online retailers will offer this service. Simply register with the site & select the gifts from their product ranges that you would like to receive.

An online gift registry will give you the option of logging in to see who has bought what, what is left on your list & will give you a list of all gifts bought & by whom, which can help with your thank you note writing.

There are of course, those of you who would prefer the old fashioned method of notebook & pen for your wedding planning. For many is may be a preference to feel in control of their wedding preparations, rather letting a cyber world do it for you & there are those who would like the chance to create a keepsake of all the wedding planning in the form of their wedding notebook/scrapbook.

Whatever your personal preference, I would advise you to consider using at least one online wedding planning tool to help make your life easier & less stressful.

Where is a cheap destination to have a wedding besides vegas?

sundragonjess asked:

I have alot of family issues and would probably rather have our wedding away somewhere (plus my fiance doesn’t want to stand in front of everyone), but weddings are so expensive to have it away. I figured that if we had it here, even with the reception, it would be at the most $3000.00. I’m trying to find somewhere to have the wedding that will only cost $2,500 – $3,000 to go away for a week. This would be just for us and a few friends (maybe 10 – 20). Do you know of anywhere to have a wedding away at that budget? Have you had one there or know of anyone who did? If so, how was it?
We plan on only inviting those who want to come, we won’t take it personally if they don’t go. I only expect them to go if they want to. That is not rude.
I’m from pennsylvania

7 Highly Effective Habits For The Wedding Planning Process

Cheryl Cox asked:

Yes, these habits are also about how to help you keep close tabs on your wedding dollars!  Without proper planning and communication, you could easily find yourself stuck spending more than you wanted to. Make these 7 Effective Habits part of your Wedding Planning Process and the outcome is sure to be exactly what you wanted your wedding day to be!

1. Don’t Procrastinate

We certainly can’t stress this morsel of wisdom enough. You’ll enjoy your wedding far more if you’re not cramming everything into the last two months. It’s a tad bit difficult to write romantic wedding vows when you’ve waited until the night before the wedding to put pen to paper.

2. Find the right Wedding Planning Guide Book

Being organized is key, not only to getting things done but to saving money, and there is just too many parts to the planning of a wedding that it wouldn’t be smart or cost effective to try to think of all the the various details you need to handle by yourself. I highly recommend finding a Wedding Planning Guide Book to walk you through this! There are many good guides out there, but two specifically have passed our test of being a true value. Please see the review of our Top 2 Wedding Planning Guides at our online magazine YourWeddingDollars.com that we recommend to help you with this endeavor. Both these guides cover everything that needs to be planned and organized including timelines and budgets and they help you with ways to find the best deals.

3. Schedule Planning Time

Be sure to schedule meeting times with each other to discuss the details of the wedding: the schedule, the budget, the vendors, etc. Be diligent about keeping these appointments with each other. This is the beginning of another important marriage building skill-shared decision-making.

4. Communicate & Compromise

You’ll definitely have the opportunity to familiarize yourselves with the delicate arts of communication and compromise. You’re designing a wedding that suits the two of you, while taking into account the needs of your families and guests. Through this process of planning and compromise you will learn new ways of communicating with each other, as well as discover areas where it is difficult for you to express yourselves.

Establish a daily ritual to discuss your feelings and share your thoughts. Even if you only have time for a five-minute chat. It is the consistency, not the quantity of conversation that counts.

5. Share the Tasks & Delegate

Long gone are the days when the groom took a back seat and let his rosy-cheeked bride make all the decisions. Welcome to the 21st century. Couples are now splitting the list in half. Brides rejoice! Two people dividing the lengthy task list will not only reduce stress for you, it allows the groom, traditionally the most ignored person in the entire affair, to participate in his own wedding. A novel concept, we know.

Above and beyond the professional help you hire, create a wedding support network for yourself. Make a list with your fiancé of the various friends and family who might want to be involved with your wedding. Give each of them a task, stated as clearly and specifically as possible. Call them regularly to give them your appreciation and to check on how their project is coming along.

6. Be Assertive

Communicate your wishes clearly and tactfully to wedding professionals, friends and family members. Practice saying "no" and using phrases like, "we have discussed this and we feel that" It’s your wedding and don’t you forget it.

7. Take Care of Yourself

Pay attention to the essentials of good health. Avoid caffeine, sugar, alcohol and nicotine, which put unnecessary strain on both body and mind. Eat more vegetables, fruits, whole grains and fish. Get a full night’s sleep to revitalize. Dreaming releases the accumulated stress of the day and stabilizes the brain waves. Exercise is the best source of stress reduction known to man. The endorphins released in even a moderate amount of aerobic exercise can fight depression and elevate the mood.

How to Plan a Budget Wedding – the Hidden Secrets

Natasha asked:

Wedding Requirements – Where It Costs Most

Everybody goes through once in their lifetime experiencing a nuptial form of a wedding, or in some other’s case more than once wedding nuptials is encountered. Given that most people will experience their first wedding will want the best as possible, especially for a significant day of one’s life by expressing eternal love to one another in the exchange of wedding vows and wedding bands.

When it comes to planning a wedding of a lifetime, most people would get so emotionally caught up with the moment and do get out of hand, which this is where the costs and expenses get blown out of proportion and highly so does the initial budget. The costly part of the wedding and requirements to set up and plan needs to be identified as in order to underline where most likely the budget could be out stretched.

These unnecessary and very costly wedding requirements are found in planning: the reception is particularly the most expensive part of the wedding; flower ornaments and arrangements; professional photography and video recording; live entertainment of a band or DJ; food catering; wedding guest invitations; wedding favours; wedding rings and wedding gowns.

Useful Tips & Suggestions

- Reception. When you want to invite the whole family member and friends, even though you have not met or really know them. Keep necessary number of head counts that is important to you to be invited to the wedding.

- Flowers. Choosing styles and types of flower arrangements and quantity of how much flowers you want to decorate at the wedding is enough to put your budget out of line. Purchasing from wholesalers and get the flowers professionally arranged will set you back on your savings.

- Photography. Capturing the best and memorable moments of the wedding on pictures and on video recording is a very costly one, when it is done beautifully and professionally. Shop around for the best price and go for special packages that includes photography and video recording services. Separate services will be exceptionally expensive.

- Band or DJ. A band which consists of few members requires more to pay to perform, where on the other hand a DJ requires only one person to play the music. It’s obvious that a DJ would save you costs for musical entertainment.

- Food Catering. Sit down dinners with banquet or al ‘acarte menus can immensely put your budget out of line, especially when they are catered for your tastes in the choices of dishes. Buffets and low cost banquets would be alternatives on saving costs.

- Invitations. Professional invitations can add up consumedly alot of money, especially when you have a certain generous number of people to invite. Do it yourself or DIY your own invitations to give that personal flare of creation.

- Wedding Favours. Buying pre-made wedding favours or packages is quite expensive when it is already designed or themed to. Personalized favours is no doubt less expensive and you can add to your own personal touch and style. Buying by the bulk from wholesalers or distributors will save you heaps.

- Wedding Rings. Custom and design made wedding rings will certainly set your budget to rise. Purchasing a desired pre-set wedding rings with a light personalized touch to it can achieve the same monumental and sentimental meaning.

- Wedding Gowns. A one off outfit that is worn for only one big day and is unnecessarily expensive. Rental wedding gowns or evening wear is worthwhile enough to be memorable. Or even then a second hand wedding gown is a saving.

Final Good Hints To Budget That Wedding

When sending out wedding guest invitations, do not hesitate by noting upfront what types of wedding gifts is gratefully requested with options of various gift categories. (Note: make sure gifts are sensibly affordable and not ridiculous to guests). In this way you do not double up with the wedding gifts received and is more of a preference to what you want – who would want to receive two coffee makers or two dinner sets? Of course with more expensive and larger gifts, a group of friends or family can opt to pay together for that one gift. For this to work, one of the groom’s or bride’s helper (bridesmaid or groomsman) needs to check-off who is going to get what gift in that way another guest going for the same gift knows its taken.

Another alternative is to basically note on the wedding guest invitations with the option of receiving money instead of the gifts, that is if the guests chooses not to provide one of the gift preferences. Anyone would know that money would come really in handy at the time of a wedding, especially when its a budget one!
